Azure cloud services for Saudi Arabia

Landing zones, migrations and hardened environments on Microsoft Azure for Saudi companies, delivered by the team that built a secure banking-integration environment for a Saudi financial technology company.

Companies looking for Azure cloud services in Saudi Arabia usually have one of three problems: an on-premise estate that is expensive to keep alive, a workload with in-country residency requirements that needs a defensible hosting plan, or a security review that an ad-hoc cloud setup cannot pass. PluginZ Solutions handles all three with the same approach: design the environment properly first, then migrate.

Our reference Saudi project is Sama Systems, a financial technology company that needed a hardened Azure environment supporting integrations with banking systems. We designed and delivered it end to end: identity, segmentation, controlled access, API whitelisting with counterparties, backup, monitoring and a documented path to production. That is the security bar we apply by default, not a premium tier.

We are a Microsoft CSP Indirect Reseller and certified to ISO/IEC 27001:2022. Microsoft has announced that Saudi Arabia East is scheduled to become available in November 2026. Until general availability, we design Saudi workloads using currently available Azure regions or other in-country options based on residency, compliance and technical requirements, with a migration path to Saudi Arabia East where appropriate. Our engineers work from Cairo, which is zero to one hour behind Riyadh and one to two hours behind Dubai, depending on the time of year, so business hours overlap strongly.

Scope

What we deliver in Saudi Arabia

Azure landing zone

Subscription structure, management groups, Entra ID identity, policy, naming and tagging, network hub and spoke, and cost controls, built so every later workload lands in a governed place.

Migration from on-premise or another cloud

Assessment of servers, databases and dependencies, a wave plan, pilot migration, cut-over with rollback, and decommissioning of the old estate.

Hardened environments for regulated workloads

Network segmentation, private endpoints, firewall and WAF, just-in-time access, key management and logging designed for financial and other audited environments.

Saudi data residency planning

A written data-flow map showing where each service and dataset sits and why. Until Saudi Arabia East reaches general availability, we design around currently available Azure regions or other in-country options based on your residency, compliance and technical requirements, with a migration path to Saudi Arabia East where appropriate.

Backup, recovery and monitoring

Azure Backup and Site Recovery policies matched to your recovery objectives, alerting through Azure Monitor, and a tested restore before we call anything done.

Managed Azure operations

Ongoing patching, cost review, security posture reviews and named engineers on a monthly retainer, with licensing as a Microsoft CSP Indirect Reseller.

Saudi context for cloud

Residency, PDPL and audit expectations shape the design

Cloud in Saudi Arabia is not just a hosting decision. Regulated sectors expect data to stay in the Kingdom, the Personal Data Protection Law expects appropriate technical and organisational measures, and banking counterparties expect to see segmentation, access control and logging before they open an API to you. We design for those expectations before the first virtual machine is created.

PDPL: personal data needs appropriate technical and organisational measures, with access and retention documented
Banking and payment counterparties typically require IP whitelisting, segmentation and audit logs
A documented environment is easier to defend in a client security review or a due diligence

Context as of September 2026. Sector-specific rules vary by regulator; we confirm the residency and control requirements that apply to your workload during the discovery phase. Check current Azure region availability on Microsoft’s official pages before you plan data residency.

How we engage

Fixed-scope cloud projects, then a retainer if you want one

Paid discovery first

An assessment of your estate, dependencies and control requirements, producing a target architecture and a fixed-scope migration or build proposal.

Milestone payments

Landing zone, pilot, migration waves and hardening are priced as fixed milestones, so your finance team knows what each stage costs before it starts.

Security by default

The baseline we built for banking integrations, private endpoints, segmentation, least privilege and logging, is applied to every environment, not sold as an upgrade.

Working hours aligned with Riyadh

Cut-overs and support windows are scheduled inside your business day; Cairo is zero to one hour behind Riyadh, depending on daylight saving time, so working hours overlap strongly.

Cost governance built in

Budgets, alerts, reserved capacity where it pays and a monthly cost review, so the Azure bill does not surprise anyone.

One partner for licences and engineering

Azure and Microsoft 365 licensing as a Microsoft CSP Indirect Reseller, with the same team doing the engineering and the support.

FAQ

Questions about this service in Saudi Arabia

Microsoft Saudi Arabia East is scheduled for general availability in November 2026. Until then, in-country hosting requirements should be evaluated based on the workload, regulatory requirements and available hosting options. During discovery we produce a data-flow map showing where each service and dataset sits, and we plan a migration path to Saudi Arabia East where appropriate, so you can answer regulator and client questions with a document rather than a promise.
